Two kinds of people tend to land here. One is trying to find a room in a city they may not know yet: which neighbourhood to pick, what the rent actually covers, how to sign a lease from another country without getting burned. The other owns an apartment in Lisbon and is weighing what to do with it, from a long lease to short-term to handing the whole thing over.
We write for both. These are the guides we wish we had when we were working this out ourselves: real numbers, Lisbon-specific detail, and nothing padded to hit a word count. When a question comes up often enough from the people who live with us or let to us, it turns into an article here.
